Italy Vacation Packages are well worth its cost!
Some years ago I had the big luck to take part in one of the more comprehensive Italian vacation packages I had ever seen with a pretty steep discount. I recognized immediately that it was a fantastic occasion that I could not pass up, but when the tour was finished, I realized that I would gladly have paid full price if I had known all that I would experience on the journey.
We first stopped in Rome and received all of the key attractions as the Colosseum, etc. Then we went to the Vatican City, and I also got to see St. Peter's Basilica. For all us Catholic, that in itself is a big honor, but I could actually go in and look around. It was fantastic, and another thing I'll never forget is the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. I still think that this is the most stunning artwork I've ever seen in person.
We went to Milan, and I admired the renowned opera house La Scala. I'm a huge opera devotee, and knowing that celebrities like Placido Domingo, Enrique Caruso and Maria Callas have been singing there was almost dreamlike for me. This is generally considered the greatest opera house in the world, and there I was attending a tour with a guide who knew more than I could ever imagine about opera. He asked where I was living and I told him I came from the United States and had bought one of those Italian vacation packages. He just laughed and welcomed me to his country.
We made a trip to Venice to walk along the channels, and I experienced one of the most unique places I have ever seen. Italian vacation packages usually include a trip to Venice, and now I know why. Although you constantly hear about the channels, nothing really can prepare you for it. To see the gondolas go up and down the waterways is such an amazing experience that I just had to sit down right there to absorb everything I saw.
One of the great points about Italy vacation packages that many people doesn't consider is the delicious food. I always thought that I loved the pizza but the pizza I had in Italy was like heaven wrapped in dough. As a consequence of this, one day I just had to go and take a nap because I was too full to walk around.
Italian vacation packages are absolutely worth the price! Whether you're a lover of art, history, literature, music, sport or food, there are so many things to experience!
